Mark Basile’s professional credits in both plays and musicals include work in New York, regional theatres and in touring productions.
A professional actor for more than 20 years, Mark toured North America in Cole Porter’s Can-Can which featured The Radio City Rockettes and in Comden and Green’s On the 20th Century which featured Imogene Coca.
In New York, Mark had the honor of working with acclaimed writer and director, George Abbott, in his musical production, Tropicana.
Mark gained critical praise for his one-man show, You Fascinate Me So, which debuted as a limited engagement at the famed New York nightclub, Eighty Eights.
Regionally, Mark has performed the works of Shakespeare, Coward, Moliere, Feydeau and Rostand at numerous theaters including the Folger Theatre, Center Stage and North Carolina Shakespeare.
Recently, Mark was featured in Side By Side By Sondheim and Starting Here, Starting Now in Connecticut theaters. He regularly performs at charity events throughout the Tri-State including benefits to support the Westport Historical Society, Westport Country Playhouse, Special Olympics and others. Most often, Mark performs works by Sondheim, Kander and Ebb, Arlen, Porter and Gershwin.
