Press

“Mark Basile delivered with a lovely, sweetly resonant voice, polished musical-theatre flair and skill…and a heap of charm. He kept the evening fresh by making each song a personal expression. And several numbers were standouts, among them Marc Blitzstein’s beautiful ‘I Wish It So’ (making the uncommon choice of emphasizing the optimism in the song, Basile infused it with a palpable yearning); a delightful Blitzstein obscurity called ‘Zipperfly’; and a medley of Sondheim’s ‘Take Me to the World’; and Gershwin and Arlen’s ‘It’s a New World,’ performed with gentle passion.”
— Backstage

“Mark Basile beautifully interprets songs by Cole Porter, Marc Blizstein, Harold Arlen, George Gershwin and many others”
— Theatre Week

“Keep Feeling Fascination!”
— Next Magazine

“Basile’s voice is particularly well-suited to ballads, as it is sweet without being cloying. Probably because of his roots as an actor, his ability with a lyric is outstanding; he brings out every nuance without sacrificing the beauty of the melody.”
— Cab Magazine

“All-around Dreamboat!”
